Accessibility Statement
I am committed to ensuring that my portfolio website is accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities. As a designer who specializes in inclusive and human-centered design, accessibility is a core part of my practice—not just a checklist item.
Standards
This site is built following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, as the target standard. My goal is to provide a user experience that is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for everyone.
Measures Taken
Semantic structure: pages use clear landmarks (
<header>,<nav>,<main>,<footer>) and sequential headings (H1 → H2 → H3).Keyboard navigation: all interactive elements are reachable and usable with a keyboard.
Color contrast: text and interface components meet minimum contrast ratios.
Alt text: meaningful images include alternative text; decorative images are marked as such.
Skip links: a “Skip to main content” option is available for keyboard users.
Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing process. Automated audits (Lighthouse, WAVE, axe) and manual testing (keyboard, screen reader) are used to identify and resolve issues. As this site evolves, accessibility will remain a guiding principle.
Feedback
If you experience any accessibility barriers on this site, please contact me. I welcome feedback and will make every effort to improve the experience.
